Redmond Private School Specializing in One-to-One Instruction for Grades 1-12

Redmond, WA — For many students, feeling safe and supported is just as important as academic success. At Brightmont Academy, an accredited private school providing fully individualized instruction for grades 1–12, staff members are creating an environment where students build confidence, form meaningful relationships, and rediscover a love for learning.

At the Redmond campus, students are encouraged to grow academically while also feeling comfortable being themselves. From chess clubs and student activities to individualized learning plans, the campus fosters a welcoming atmosphere where students feel connected and understood. “We work hard to create an environment where students know they have trusted adults they can turn to,” said Ann Vinson, Campus Director of Brightmont Redmond. “Our goal is to make students feel safe, supported, and excited to come to school each day.”

Brightmont’s one-to-one learning model enables staff to tailor education to each student’s individual needs, helping students feel more comfortable participating in class. “One of the challenges with one-to-one education is making sure students still have opportunities for social connection,” Vinson said. “We focus on creating structured activities that allow students to build communication skills, develop friendships, and have fun while still prioritizing academics.”

Vinson shared that many students who once struggled with school avoidance are now attending consistently because they feel welcomed and supported on campus. “When students come to Brightmont, they realize we can adapt to their individual needs,” Vinson said. “That flexibility helps reduce the fear and anxiety they may have experienced in traditional school environments and allows them to focus on learning and personal growth.”

Brightmont Academy is located at 7345 164th Ave. NE, Suite I-135, in Redmond, and is currently accepting enrollments. Families and professionals are invited to attend an Open House event on Thursday, June 18, 2026, between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. RSVP here.
