St. Charles Private School Specializing in One-to-One Instruction for Grades 1-12

St. Charles, IL — Research from the Northwest Evaluation Association finds that students in third through fifth grades lose an average of 20 percent of their reading gains and 27 percent of their math gains during summer break. This summer, Brightmont Academy’s St. Charles campus will be open for the first time, giving families in the community a new option to help students stay academically engaged while school is out.

For Meredith Hale, Campus Director of Brightmont’s St. Charles location, the goal of the academy’s first summer is to introduce families to the benefits of individualized instruction. “This is our first summer serving families in St. Charles, and we’re excited to introduce the community to Brightmont’s one-to-one approach,” Hale said. “Summer can be a great time for students to strengthen skills, build confidence, or get ahead before the next school year.”

Many parents want their children to enjoy their time off while still maintaining academic momentum, which can make planning summer activities challenging. “Parents often tell us that summer is a balancing act,” Hale said. “They want their kids to relax and enjoy their break, but they also don’t want them to lose the progress they made during the school year. At Brightmont, our programs are designed to be flexible and focused. Because students work one-to-one with a teacher, we can concentrate on exactly what they need.”

Brightmont’s summer programming supports students at all grade levels and with diverse academic needs, from early learners building foundational skills to high school students pursuing credit recovery or college prep. For families in St. Charles, it means students can head into the new school year feeling more confident, prepared, and ready to succeed.

Brightmont Academy is located at 620 E Main St. in St. Charles and is currently accepting enrollments. Families and professionals are invited to attend an Open House event on Thursday, April 16, 2026, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. RSVP here.

Brightmont Academy is an accredited private school that provides one-to-one instruction. One experienced teacher works with one student throughout every learning session. Customized full-time programs and individual courses are offered for grades 1-12. Students can also receive individualized tutoring for all 1-12 subjects, study skills, and test prep. Brightmont Academy has served thousands of students since 1999 and has 25 campuses in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, and Washington.
