Brightmont Academy Speaker Series

In this informative session of the Brightmont Academy Speaker Series, we are joined by Dr. Jen Ehalt, PsyD, LP, a licensed clinical psychologist and co-founder of Monarch Learning & Attention Center, for a practical and informative conversation on assessments, evaluations, and how they support academic success.

Dr. Ehalt specializes in comprehensive evaluations for individuals with learning differences, including attention, executive functioning, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. She offers parents, educators, and professionals a clear understanding of how the evaluation process works and how it can provide the clarity and guidance students need to thrive.

In this session, Dr. Ehalt discusses:

  • What psychoeducational evaluations are, how they work, and when they should be considered
  • Common signs of attention, executive functioning, and academic struggles
  • How assessments can provide clarity and direction for academic success
  • Strategies for supporting students with ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia
  • How evaluations help determine eligibility for IEPs, 504 Plans, and school accommodations
  • Real-life case studies and answers to common questions about learning challenges

This conversation is designed to empower families with the knowledge and tools they need to understand the evaluation process, advocate for their child, and support their learning with confidence.
