Private School Specializing in One-to-One Instruction for 1st-12th Grade Students

Seattle, WA – In a recent study, it was found that elite athletes exhibited decreased overall academic achievement compared to their non-athlete counterparts, with the demands of sports activities and rigid academic schedules being contributing factors. Recognizing these challenges, Brightmont Academy, a nationally accredited private school, offers a flexible, customized learning alternative to traditional schools.

Brightmont Academy understands the hurdles that athletes encounter while striving for excellence in both their sport and academics. One such student who has benefited from this tailored approach is Vaughn, a talented sprint kayaker. Tony Beals, Vice President of Admissions and Enrollment Solutions at Brightmont Academy's Seattle location, highlights Vaughn's experience: "He only did his courses online with us as it was more convenient for him. He was an excellent student who graduated with a 4.0 GPA, took several honors classes, had excellent attendance and punctuality, and was very inquisitive and asked a lot of in-depth questions. Brightmont was a good fit because we could move at his pace and challenge him where he wanted to be challenged, and slow down where he needed to slow down. We took stress out of school for him so he could progress academically during his classes, but then also put 100% of his focus into his kayaking when he was competing, so he didn't have to worry about either interfering with the other."

Vaughn's experience at Brightmont Academy exemplifies the institution's commitment to providing flexible academic support for elite athletes. Whether at a training center, on the road, or at home, Vaughn could complete coursework on a schedule designed to best fit with travel and practices. Vaughn explains, "Brightmont allowed me to complete classes in a much more time efficient manner. Unlike in a regular schooling environment, I was not locked into completing each class with a specific amount of time spent in class. If I could get more done in the allotted class time, I would finish the class sooner. This meant that as long as I worked efficiently, I would be rewarded with significantly more time to train. Brightmont was also very cooperative with scheduling, allowing me to take necessary breaks from school for the sake of competitions and training camps. If you have the option of attending Brightmont, I strongly feel that high school athletes with high aspirations would benefit enormously from the flexibility it offers."

Brightmont Academy is located at 115 NE 100th St, Suite 200 in Seattle and is currently accepting enrollments.

Brightmont Academy is an accredited private school that provides one-to-one instruction. One experienced teacher works with one student throughout every learning session. Customized full-time programs and individual courses are offered for grades 1-12. Students can also receive individualized tutoring for all 1-12 subjects, study skills, and test prep. Brightmont Academy has served thousands of students since 1999 and has 18 campuses in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, and Washington.
