Alpharetta, GA – Brightmont Academy proudly welcomes Aisha Walker, a seasoned educator with over two decades of experience, to its Alpharetta campus. Aisha brings a wealth of expertise in personalized instruction and a deep commitment to empowering students with diverse learning needs.


With a career spanning more than 20 years, Aisha has dedicated herself to shaping young minds and supporting learners of all ages. Her extensive background includes teaching children and adults vital skills such as reading, spelling, and comprehension. Additionally, she has played a pivotal role in training and mentoring educators, regional directors, and school leaders, equipping them with strategies to better serve their communities. Aisha's passion for personalized learning led her to Brightmont Academy, where she sees an opportunity to make a profound impact. Aisha, Director and Vice President of School Development at the Alpharetta campus, remarks, “My passion for educating families and professionals on the benefits of one-to-one learning brought me to Brightmont Academy."


Her arrival comes at an exciting time for Brightmont Alpharetta, now in its third year and gaining recognition within the community. Reflecting on Brightmont Academy's progress, Aisha expressed her enthusiasm for the school's collaborative approach. Aisha adds, “New professionals and educational leaders are just now hearing about us and that is exciting. We are collaborating with student teams every day to ensure that every child has the support that they need inside of our school walls and beyond. We thoroughly enjoy coming together with local school leadership, psychologists, neurologists, learning specialists, SLPs, educational consultants, etc. so that we can all be on the same page when it comes to student needs.”


Aisha's transition to Brightmont Academy aligns seamlessly with her career trajectory. "Having worked for a globally recognized organization specializing in intensive, one-to-one remediation of students with learning challenges sparked my love of individualized and differentiated instruction," she explained. "It has been a very exciting and natural shift to Brightmont because of their mission to educate students in this unique and highly effective way."


Brightmont Academy is located at 1230 Upper Hembree Road, Suite 101 in Alpharetta, and is currently accepting enrollments. Families and professionals are invited to attend an Open House event on Thursday, May 16th, 2024, between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.


Brightmont Academy is an accredited private school that provides one-to-one instruction. One experienced teacher works with one student throughout every learning session. Customized full-time programs and individual courses are offered for grades 1-12. Students can also receive individualized tutoring for all 1-12 subjects, study skills, and test prep.
