Sammamish Private School Specializing in One-to-One Instruction for Grades 1-12

Sammamish, WA — With acceptance rates at 5.2%, admission to Johns Hopkins University is a significant milestone. At Brightmont Academy, senior student-athlete Sanath Chari showed how personalized learning helped him reach both academic and athletic goals, transitioning from traditional class settings to a one-to-one learning environment in 2024.

Seeking a more engaging and flexible academic experience, he quickly found a system that allowed him to thrive. “Brightmont has been the perfect fit for my needs,” said Sanath. “It’s made school an enriching environment where I can challenge myself academically while working at my own pace.” Now enrolled in a rigorous schedule that includes Advanced Placement coursework such as calculus, physics, statistics, and Spanish, Sanath has been able to stay on an accelerated academic track while continuing to pursue baseball at a high level.

Brightmont’s personalized approach has allowed Sanath to balance demanding academics with intensive athletic training. His family says this flexibility was essential in choosing the school. “It offers the academic rigor, scheduling flexibility, and personalized approach we were looking for,” said Sanath’s Mother. “It has given him the balance he needs to pursue advanced academics while maintaining his commitment to baseball.”

Sanath’s dedication recently led to his acceptance to Johns Hopkins University, where he plans to continue both his academic and athletic journey. “As a student taking on an incredibly rigorous course load, he’s shown the ability to truly master concepts and push through challenges,” said Derek Heinz, Campus Director. “When he received the news, it was an emotional moment and a proud one for everyone who has supported him along the way.”
