It's always enjoyable for the students and teachers to do yoga, fun science, art, etc. while we take a break from classes at lunch," Dunlap explains.

Most students experience a 'summer slide' after just a few months out of school. If they are not practicing reading and math, they can lose some of the academic gains over time," says Dunlap. Brightmont Academy encourages students to stay engaged with their studies over the break to ensure a smooth transition back to school.
