Private School Specializing in One-to-One Instruction for 1st-12th Grade Students

Alpharetta, GA — With roughly 13% of high school students in the United States not graduating on time, many families are seeking solutions to help their children catch up academically. Brightmont Academy, a nationally accredited private school that offers a flexible, customized learning alternative to traditional schools, provides a comprehensive credit recovery program designed to support students in earning the credits they need.

Kimberly Exford, Campus Director of Brightmont’s Alpharetta location, emphasizes the importance of taking the right initial steps for credit recovery. “Typically, if a student needs credit recovery, the family should first contact the child's current school to get a transcript,” she explained. “Then, meet with your local Brightmont Academy Campus Director so you can compare your child's course(s) to those offered at Brightmont. From there, families can enroll in one or more credit recovery courses at various levels (i.e., Honors, AP, etc.).”

Brightmont Academy works collaboratively with schools to keep students on the right path. “We work with schools by not only being a resource for them to refer families to but also by providing communication with them throughout a child's time with us to share updates, etc., if the parents would like,” Exford continued. “We also work with schools after a credit recovery course to provide an updated transcript reflecting the child's new grade. Finally, Brightmont offers more than 50 NCAA®-approved courses as well for students wanting to pursue athletics at the collegiate level.”

The academy’s adaptable scheduling options ensure that students can complete their courses efficiently. “Brightmont Academy can offer a variety of courses at convenient times during the week, including late afternoons and evenings,” Exford added. “We are also able to offer credit recovery courses virtually as well for those students that need a more flexible schedule. Working alongside families and their schedules, sometimes we can finish a semester-long course in as little as a few weeks.” Brightmont Academy’s credit recovery program ensures students have access to tailored resources, helping them make up lost credits and stay on track toward graduation.

Brightmont Academy is located at 1230 Upper Hembree Road, Suite 101 in Alpharetta, and is currently accepting enrollments. Families and professionals are invited to attend an Open House event on Thursday, December 19th, 2024, between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Brightmont Academy is an accredited private school that provides one-to-one instruction. One experienced teacher works with one student throughout every learning session. Customized full-time programs and individual courses are offered for grades 1-12. Students can also receive individualized tutoring for all 1-12 subjects, study skills, and test prep. Brightmont Academy has served thousands of students since 1999 and has 20 campuses in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, and Washington.
