Private School in Minnesota Specializing in One-to-One Instruction for 1st-12th Grade Students

Mendota Heights & Plymouth, MN – According to a recent survey, there has been an upward trend in long-term mental health problems among students, with 29% reporting such issues. This marks a significant increase from the 23% reported in 2019 and the 18% in 2016, highlighting a growing mental health crisis that requires urgent attention and intervention. Known for its commitment to supporting students from grades 3-12 through individualized learning plans, Brightmont Academy is dedicated to addressing the mental health needs of children and adolescents.

As part of this commitment, Kate Martin, Admissions Coordinator at the Mendota Heights and Plymouth campuses, recently attended the esteemed Minnesota Association for Children's Mental Health (MACMH) Child & Adolescent Conference in Duluth, MN. "MACMH is a wonderful organization here in MN that promotes and pursues optimal mental health from early childhood to young adulthood. The MACMH Child & Adolescent Conference is one of the largest conferences of its kind in the country! This conference welcomed therapists, counselors, teachers, social workers, psychiatrists, health care workers, early childhood professionals, parents, and anyone who supports children to age 24," said Martin.

Attending the conference allowed Martin to highlight Brightmont Academy's unique programs to a diverse audience. "Attending the MACMH Child & Adolescent Conference allowed me to promote and educate various clientele in one venue on the programs Brightmont offers. It also gave me the chance to develop potential collaborative partnerships for Brightmont," Martin added. Brightmont helps students by offering credit recovery classes and providing a safe environment for intellectual growth.

With mental health challenges on the rise among youth, Martin emphasized the critical role of Brightmont Academy. "It is clear that mental health issues have skyrocketed among kids and teens. Anxiety, school avoidance, behavioral disorders, ADHD, etc. are becoming all too common. The programs that Brightmont Academy offers are a wonderful solution to help those adolescents in need. I was glad I got the opportunity to attend this conference to make people aware that Brightmont Academy is a great resource for those children with mental health issues."

Brightmont Academy is located at 720 Main Street, Suite 101 in Mendota Heights, and 2855 Glacier Lane N, Suite 200 in Plymouth, and is currently accepting enrollments. Families and professionals are invited to attend an Open House event on Thursday, September 19th, 2024, between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Brightmont Academy is an accredited private school that provides one-to-one instruction. One experienced teacher works with one student throughout every learning session.
