Meet Mary Gillespie
Scottsdale Campus Director

At Brightmont Academy, Mary is continuing her lifelong dedication to helping children in need. She has been involved in the education of children for over 20 years, successfully teaching a range of students—from those severely disabled to highly advanced.
Mary earned a master of arts in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University and a dual bachelor’s degree in special education and elementary education. Her teaching experience began in Tempe at the Scales School, where she taught reading and writing to younger children.
Her administrative positions include serving as Special Education Director for two schools and also serving on the Mesa School Board for four years, including one year as president. Mary’s breadth of experience provides her with a deep understanding of children and their needs.
